A badge is only worth something if it's earned the same way every time. Here is what “Verified” means on NuvaPaws — and what it never means.
What the badge means
The community's current written pet policy was confirmed directly with the property or its management company, and the date of that confirmation is printed on the listing.
Freshness you can see
Every listing shows its confirmation date and is re-confirmed on a schedule. When a date is older than 6 months, the badge automatically changes to “Needs re-check.”
Not for sale
Verification can't be bought. Featured and sponsored placements are clearly labeled and go through exactly the same confirmation as free listings.
Three badges, no ambiguity
Policy confirmed with the property within the last 6 months. Fees shown were current on the confirmation date.
Confirmation is older than 6 months. The listing stays visible, clearly flagged, until it's re-confirmed.
A renter or the property reported a policy change. We review within 48 hours and either update or remove the listing.

What “Verified” never means
It is not a guarantee of approval. Each application is decided by the property, and policies can change between our confirmation date and your move-in. Always get the policy in writing before you sign.
